happy 1st august everyone!

anyway, i made a minor mistake the other day at work. thank god i was able to rectify that mistake.
alhamdullilah.

& i got stuck in a jam on the way to work the other day due to a mini flood. first time i was late for work. luckily my manager was understanding enough since i have been reaching & starting my work much earlier that the stipulated time i was supopsed to start.
give & take situation over there.

fadzli collected his new shades the other day at bishan. yes, i was with him.
picked me up from work, in the rain & all.
i dont know what's up with him having so many shades when he'll use only one. haha!
suka hati dia la kan.
haha!

saturday was halfday for me.
it was also a day when i "explored" part of my workplace because i was looking for a bus service that goes to lavender. ended up there was a bus from the normal busstop i'll take the bus home. haha!

& since there was a food fest over at the malay heritage centre, we decided to give it a go. such a waste because i didnt bring my camera along with me because there wasnt any confirmation of us going there. unfortunately, there was nothing fantastic, only a few shops here & there.
ended up buying a drink for the both of us and that twist potato thing. yeah, thats it.
stayed a while to watch the show then out we go.

ended up going to bussorah street to look for my kueh bakar.

for 2mths plus i've been craving for this. & it turned out to be such a disappointment. i am sad.

but ouh wells, thank you fadzli for even buying it for me.

so we decided to have our meal. initial plan was to have our meal at kampong glam cafe. but fadzli knowing what a foodie i am, suggested to give this new place a try.

its a small restaurant along bussorah street owned by this brothers who is quite well known in the local malay music industry - nuradee.

it was quite empty when we arrived. there were only 4people at the outdoor seats and another 2 couples indoors, excluding us.
but by the time we left, the place was almost full. haha!
i think we bring luck to these places because this always happen. haha!

there was a variety of dishes from the menu, ranging from chicken, pasta, sandwiches, side dishes, finger food, desserts and also drinks.
so since it was our first time there, we decided to give their Duo Combo a try.

at $19.30, it comprises of 3piece of chicken (which we were able to opt for the parts without any extra charges), a 6" submarine, coleslaw, fries and 2 drinks. the girl who was serving us recommended the roasted beef filling for the submarine.

fried to order so it was served fresh & piping hot to us. you can actually taste the spiciness in the marination of the chicken. the chicken was a little small, according to fadzli.

in my personal point of view, i think it is filling to eat by itself though it might be a little to "muak". i dont really like it though because i think the quantity of the sauce is too overwhelming that it actually "killed" the flavour of the roasted beef.

fries.
nothing special. maybe because i am never a fan of fries, except long john silver's & homemade.

coleslaw.
tasted very much like arnold's.
the downside was we had to wait a long time for our food to be served.

see, sampai fadzli pun muka boring tunggu makanan lama sangat.

even so, our 3pc chicken was initially served to the wrong table. so my drink was already 3/4 finished by the time the food was served & fadzli had to share his drink with me. also, one of the waitresses was rather "loud", you know the "attention seeking" loud, like she was arguing with one of the guys in the kitchen.

ouh wells, maybe it was just a one time thing.

anyway,
after our meal, we dropped by abboy because fadzli wanted to do something to his bike. i dont know what, so ya.

so sat awhile there talking, not knowing where to go till he decided to send his helmet to his friend who was at changi chalet.
so we stood at the carpark for a good 30mins or so with the friend before we decided to zoom to tampines to do something about our rings.

the latest couple ring we had was pretty much screwed up. fadzli's had one of the screws missing. while mine was extra loose even though i had mine exchanged 2months ago.
so we ended up getting a new design altogether because i just find it ridiculous that the workmanship of the ring was pretty sucky.

its a pity though because the ring was something different from the normal rings we had because it was squarish.
ended up taking a normal round ring with a small onyx stone.

yet to take a photo of it though so maybe when we do, i will post it up. =)

walked around tampines1 for awhile. went to uniqlo but the white top that i wanted to buy for work was no longer available. bummer.
so just did a little window shopping and trying out oakley shade. haha!
went for a little dessert at macd, tried out the new oreo shake & shares the mudpie mcflurry.

had to end the date quite early though because fadzli was in morning shift for today. & the poor boy had to wake up extra early for his morning shifts since the transfer.

that's pretty much it.
